Threat Level: Midnight

Apparently I've wandered into Martha territory. That means I need to update my blog more.

I have to be honest. Living with Colin makes it a little easier not to update things. Not much happens, and if something does, he's going to post it and do so more eloquently than I could hope for. Other than school and work, I had kind of a whiskey week, and I've been coming to terms with getting my last semester done. That's actually a good feeling, and something I hadn't really thought much about until now.

Started to explore the neighborhood a little more recently, and it's starting to grow on me. We went to Whirlaway the other day which is this really small bar around the corner from us. It's a tiny place with a couple small tables, a couch, the bar itself, and an out of place pool table. The barmaid is this really nice older lady named Maria.

She asked for my id because she didn't recognize me, and talked to me for a few minutes about being in the neighborhood, having a birthday coming up, and saying that her son was also born in 1980. When I was leaving later, she came by and told me to come in to celebrate with them, reciting my birthday back to me. It was funny.

I also stopped by a mexican bakery near the El that has all sorts of pastries and cookies and breads that I don't really know much about. I bought a few things, and having high hopes, tried them. Mostly, they weren't very good, but I suppose it could be nice if I get a craving.

Ha. I just noticed that this title has nothing to do with the post. I think I was going to write about something else.

Oh man, your blog is much easier for me to read comparing to Collin's, I wish you could update it more often. yet, I think Collin's helps me alot with my english as I really have to ask people or look up the expressions in a dictionary... Aah, You can never know how hard it is to catch up with people that are talking in a language that is not your first language. specially if you are naturally a very talkative person.

i don't read blogs much but i do check them all quarterly. this happens to be a blog reading month for me so i'd like to say thanks for being anonymous post friendly. you won't be forgotten when i start my anonymous-blog-posting-rights movement. the others are now being warned to arm themselves. also, are you going to the whirlybar for your bday? i would like a groundhogs day brew with you. thats the day right? call me up if youre in the mood to celebrate.-j to the a to the nice nice baby-p.s. responding via blog post is fruitless as i will not read till may or june (most likely).

So, who knew you had a blog? It doesn't have cheese in the title, though, which is weird.

I enjoyed this little post and you write well. Keep it up man.

Oh, and by the way, that bakery you're talking about is a pile of shite. That's if you're talking about the one near Logan Square. It's all fancy like it should be nice, and it is this that lures you in, but it is the stench (a stranger remarked that it was, and I quote, "the rankest compound of villainist smell ever to offend my nostrils") that informs you low quality nature of the establishment. What really annoyed me was the lack of decent french bread, and by french bread I mean a baguette.

Ag, man, yeah it was really bad. Everything seemed perfectly stale, and although I can't vouch for the stench, I can say it was pretty awful.
